Vic Christy Double-Crosses Lou Thesz!

This story takes place during the late 50s / early 60s in California, when Lou Thesz was appearing there as the NWA World Heavyweight Champion. I believe he was basing himself in Los Angeles.

At the time, Thesz was seen as somewhat of a mainstream sports celebrity, rubbing elbows with major sports figures and celebrities from the entertainment industry, and reportedly dated several beautiful Hollywood starlets.

On this day Thesz was by the hotel pool with one of his beautiful actress girlfriends who had just had her hair permed. 

Vic Christy was in the pool, splashing water on Thesz and his girlfriend. Finally Thesz had enough. 

He told Christy he better cut it out, or else.  Christy beat a hasty retreat.

Several minutes later, Christy appeared at poolside in a beautiful suit and tie, carrying a pitcher of ice water, which he unceremoniously dumped right on Lou Thesz! 

Thesz jumped up, grabbed Christy, and threw him into the pool, suit and all!

When Christy surfaced, laughing, Thesz couldn't figure out why. Until he realized that Christy was wearing Thesz' suit!
