Don Fargo 'Arrested' in the Pacific NorthwestIn 1975, Fargo came into Seattle as "The American Dream," inasmuch as the next year was the 200th anniversary of the founding of America. Or something like that. His first night in the territory, former wrestler Jan Paul entered the dressing room in his Seattle Police Department uniform, as he was now working for the City. Since
Fargo didn't know who he was, it was perfect for a rib. Paul proceeded to issue a warrant for the arrest of Fargo, stemming from the complaint of the parents of an underage girl. All the boys knew that Jan Paul was really an ex-worker, but Fargo bought the rib and actually jumped out of the dressing-room window in an attempt to escape the "law"! I think Bobby Jaggers or some
other guy on the card had to chase him down and explain that it was
just a joke. Fargo came back and took the rib in stride. He worked with Goldie Rodgers that night. Apparently, poor Goldie got
some potatoes from frazzled, rattled, and frustrated Fargo.
